DUTENI Hiring Intern Client Support Specialist June 2024, Headquartered in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, DUTENI is a vibrant entrepreneurial company providing premier solutions to our corporate clients and unique experiences to our tourism clients. We are looking to bring on 2 qualified, energetic, creative, trustworthy, customer-centric, passionate recent Tanzanian graduates for a short internship.

This internship will afford the selected individuals an opportunity to learn the Duteni way with a potential opportunity for a long-term commitment based on performance evaluation.


Job Title: Client Support Specialist Intern

Start Date: As soon as possible

Compensation: Minimal stipend

Location: Dar Es Salaam

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Take initiatives, be coachable, and possess an insatiable desire to learn
  • Help maintain an office environment to produce world-class customer experience
  • Complete and maintain client/prospect logs and prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports
  • Create and manage itineraries for discerning clients from start to finish
  • Coordinate Duteni cultural programs and lessons about Tanzania
  • Assist in a broad variety of administrative, operations, sales, and business strategy tasks including but not limited to managing an active calendar of meeting appointments
  • Be ready and willing to train and work in all areas of the business for the Company
  • Communicate internally and externally with high attention to details regarding grammar, spelling, and verbal communication
  • Email correspondence, manage reception desk, answer calls and video meetings with clients and potential clients
  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the office, such as office upkeep, greeting guests, answering phones, processing office supply orders, processing mail, managing office issues, expense reports, travel logistics, document management, office coordination, and other routine administrative tasks
  • Help manage the Company’s social media accounts
  • Support members of the leadership team with special projects as needed
  • Accompany clients to their activities as needed
  • Show flexibility, initiative, and possess an extreme sense of urgency
  • Work closely with the Company’s accountant, assist in maintaining account receivables, accounts payable, and cash handling procedures to Company standards
  • Perform other duties as directed, developed, or assigned by the management from time to time

Minimum Requirements:

  • Mastery of written and spoken English language is a MUST
  • High level of attention to detail and robust analytical and problem-solving aptitude
  • Self-questioning, curiosity, self-motivation, and improvement
  • A high level of diplomacy, tact, and judgment as well as an upbeat and positive attitude
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer service and response
  • Open to traveling as the internship may involve some travel
  • Clean/polished appearance
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Established accuracy, time management skills, and detail-orientation
  • Flexibility: some evening hours and weekend days will be required in addition to special event coverage in order to meet job requirements
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing and an understanding of the power of social media platforms
  • You know there’s always room for improvement and are open to constructive feedback. You are also not shy in sharing with the management team your thoughts on how to improve the client experience and company processes
  • Must be a driven, confident, fearless personality. Someone who is comfortable around people and has exceptional attention to detail and multi-tasking capabilities
  • Decent typing speed and experience with Microsoft Office Suite


Recent college/Advanced Diploma graduates with good GPAs, especially those with degrees in operations/project management, business management, accounting, mathematics, economics, hospitality, and tourism are encouraged to apply.
