Pharmaceutical Technician Position At Noble health specialized polyclinic, A pharmaceutical technician, also known as a pharmacy technician, is a healthcare professional who assists pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications.
Role Purpose
- The purpose of a pharmaceutical technician is to assist pharmacists and other healthcare professionals in the preparation and dispensing of medicines, as well as providing advice and information to patients on the safe use of their medication.
- Pharmaceutical technicians work in a variety of settings, including community and hospital pharmacies, healthcare centres and manufacturing plants.
- They are responsible for ensuring that medication is accurately measured, labelled and dispensed to the correct patient prescription, in compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Pharmaceutical technicians also provide advice on the side effects of medicines, over the counter products and health supplements.
About the Role
-Pharmaceutical Technicians are responsible for providing technical support to pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medication.
– They must ensure accuracy and quality in their work, as well as maintain a safe work environment.
-They must have a good knowledge of pharmaceutical products, be able to work with a wide range of equipment, and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.

Noble health specialized polyclinic, is the specialized clinic,that offers services like, consultation outpatient clinic, obstetrician and gynecology clinics, pediatric and physician clinic. It also includes laboratory, pharmacy and outreach services.

Hours: Fulltime/12 hourly
Employment Type: 1 year Contract that can be renewable.
Duties
-Prepare, mix and dispense medicines according to prescriptions
-Label dosage forms and dispense medications
-Maintain accurate records of medications dispensed and administered
-Provide advice on the correct use of medications
-Order and receive stock
Check stock levels and expiry dates
-Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Skills
- Knowledge of Pharmacy principles and practices
- Understanding of the use and storage of medicines
