Pension payments
- Pension payments are made on the 15th of every month. If you miss a payment, you will be penalized.
- You can pay your pension at any SASSA branch.

1st November 2022 – The first payment date falls on the 1st of every month. Your grant will be credited to your bank account on that date, or at least it should be, but there have been some delays in payments lately.
You can check whether or not you’ve received your money by logging into MySASSA and seeing what’s been paid out.
8th November 2022 – This is the second payment date and it usually arrives around 2-3 days later than the first one did (so 4-5 days after).
That’s because they need a few days to send all their notifications out before they can issue another batch of payments. Again, if you don’t have any luck with this one then give them a call! You might have just missed out somehow when they were sending out emails about missing details (which happens more often than you’d think…)
15th November 2022 – Another week goes by before we hit our third instalment from SASSA which usually arrives around 5 days after (so 9-10 days after) we received our second instalment from them
