SASSA SRD R350 Grant Payment Dates for March 2022
If you are a recipient of the Older persons grant, Disability grant or Children’s grant from the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) then you may be interested to know when you can collect your grant payment for the month of March.
The South African Post Office has released new payment dates for the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) Grant. March 2022 was originally supposed to be the last month of payment of the SRD grant. However, during the 2022 State Of The Nation Address, President Cyril Ramphosa announced a 12-month extension of the grant.
Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana explained that R44 billion has been allocated to the Department of Social Development for the extension of the grant. The extension was made possible by ‘larger-than-expected revenue collections’.

The SRD grant has no fixed payment date. The last three digits of your ID number determine on which days you may collect your SRD grant from the post office.
Grant beneficiaries have to bring all the required documentation in order to ensure that their grant payments are processed without any inconveniences.
Sassa manages grants and allowances for groups in South African society who may need financial assistance. This includes grants for children, older persons and those living with disabilities.
Grant payments are made in many different ways. They can be paid through a bank account, through your SASSA card, through a Post Office or through CashSend.
