There are a number of PRC-regulated exams that allow you to become a Certified Public Accountant. One of these is the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Exam (CPALE).
The latest CPALE exam was held on May 2022, with a total of 4,442 examinees coming out of 447 areas. While Jhoone Cyrelle Dela Cruz Nacario ranked first in the exams and earned 88.83% of the available points, 990 out of 4,442 (22.29%) only passed.
In the December 2021 CPALE, 318 out of 1,454 examinees (21.87%) passed. No topnotchers or top-performing schools were qualified.
This is an example of a poorly worded sentence on the CPALE. During the CPALE held on October 2021, 361 out of 2,367 (15.25%) examinees passed, but no top-notchers or top-performing schools were recorded during this examination.
The October 2019 Civil Service Professional Licensure Exam (CPALE) saw 14,492 out of 49,990 applicants passing. Justine Louie Bautista Santiago from University of Santo Tomas ranked first in the exams garnering a rating of 90.33% followed by Marlou Borbon Alinsonorin from University of San Carlos with 89.67%.University of the Philippines – Diliman was the lone school in the top performing schools’ list, having 84.21% overall passing rate.
De La Salle University-Manila leads the way in the latest batch of high school graduates. They had an aggregate of 1,699 out of 10,319 (16.5%) high school graduates with a rating of 89.83%.
The second highest high school was DLSU-Manila with 2,438 out of 8,520 or 23%, followed by Father Saturnin Montinola Memorial College Manila which had 777 out of 6,080 or 16.25% high school graduates and came in third place overall.
