Khulisa Academy Bursary Details:
Khulisa Academy is offering a limited number of placements, to bursary applicants. In order to be considered, candidates must be open to broadening their skills set and academic knowledge in the Information Technology Sector.
Closing date: 29 October 2021.
Candidate Requirements:
- South African citizen
- Must have academic knowledge in the Information Technology Sector
Documents Required:
- A certified copy of your South African ID document or passport
- A recent ID photograph of yourself
- An updated CV
- A certified copy of your latest examination results and academic transcript
- A certified copy of your matric certificate if you completed
- If your parents or guardians are deceased or divorced – provide a copy of the death certificate or divorce decree (including details of any maintenance payments)
- If your parents or guardians are unemployed – a sworn affidavit signed by the unemployed person before a commissioner of oaths proving unemployment must be provided
- If your parents or guardians are employed – provide the most recent payslip for each person, giving full details of gross income and all other benefits
- If either of your parents or guardians are pensioners – a certified copy of their pension slip must be provided
- If either of your parents or guardians work in the informal sector or own any business – provide an audited financial statement or sworn affidavit indicating estimated gross monthly income
Who is Eligible for the Khulisa Bursary Program?
Students who want to apply for the bursary programs have to fulfill the eligibility criteria laid down by the academy.
- The student must be a citizen of South Africa
- A minimum of 65% result is required in Physical Science, Pure Mathematics, English, and IT-related studies.
- Students should be between 18-25 years old.
- Age criteria are 18-30 years old for disabled students
- You must be willing to study at Khulisa Academy in Johannesburg
- Applicant must not receive any other scholarship or bursary program
- Students must possess excellent communication skills and be self-motivated
- Passing the Psychometric test is compulsory
- Applicant must be an Employment Equity candidate (female candidates preferred)
- Part-time or full time employed individuals must not apply
- Students must have an interest in IT or High-Performance Computing and should be able to work under pressure
In addition to the above requirements students must have the following behavioral competencies:
