The Ministry of Defense and Nation Building Force is seeking to fill 14 positions for Assistant Standard Technicians in Tailoring. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing various tasks related to tailoring, including sewing, altering, and attaching clothing, consulting with customers, and ensuring garments fit well. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sew tags, alter, and attach to clothing.
- Remove thread from garments using a razor blade or special object.
- Separate parts of clothes and sew by hand or with a sewing machine.
- Consult with customers about clothing and fabrics.
- Develop, copy, or change clothing styles and designs.
- Sew, adjust, and measure clothes according to customer measurements, manufacturers, and sewing style.
- Ensure garments fit well and accept alterations.
- Review or cancel seams to fit well.
- Ensure fabrics are proportional depending on changes.
- Make changes to clothing styles, such as sewing leg pockets, reducing thighs, and removing pads.
- Measure arms, legs, pants, and mark or change slits.
- Lay out cloth charts and cut on lines using scissors.
- Iron clothes by hand or machine.
- Perform other tasks assigned by supervisors according to their cadre.
Qualification and Experience:
- Those who graduated from form four (IV) and qualified with a one-year tailoring course from Vocational Colleges recognized by the Government.
- Fourth form (IV) graduates with Trade Test II certificate from Technical Colleges recognized by the Government.
