Njombe Town Council, through the Substitute Employment Permit No. FA.228/613/01/B/050 dated March 15, 2024, and FA.228/613/01/C/054 dated June 7, 2024, is excited to announce several job openings. We are inviting qualified Tanzanians to apply for the following positions:
1. Village Executive Officer III (2 Positions)
Qualifications:
- Must have completed Form Four/Six education.
- Must possess a Certificate (NTA Level 5) in one of the following fields: Administration, Law, Community Education, Financial Management, Community Development, or Social Science from Hombolo Local Government Training Institute or any other recognized institution.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Accounting Officer and Chief Executive of the Village Government.
- Oversee the security and safety of citizens and their properties, ensuring peace and governance within the village.
- Coordinate and supervise the planning and implementation of village development plans.
- Act as Secretary for all village council meetings and committees.
- Interpret and enforce policies, laws, and regulations.
- Prepare implementation reports and encourage residents to develop and execute strategies to combat hunger, poverty, and enhance production.
- Lead the heads of technical units in the village.
- Manage, collect, and store all village records and documents.
- Chair the village’s technical experts’ meetings.
- Oversee the creation of village by-laws.
- Address and resolve citizen complaints and conflicts.
- Report to the Ward Executive Officer.
Salary:
- According to government salary scale TGS B1 per month.
2. Records Assistant II (1 Position)
Qualifications:
- Must have completed Form Four (IV) or Form Six (VI) education.
- Must possess a Diploma (NTA Level 6) in one of the following fields: Records Management, Cartography, Geoinformatics, Law, or Health Records from recognized institutions, with computer skills.
Responsibilities:
- Register incoming mail in the Incoming Correspondence Register.
- Register outgoing mail in the Outgoing Correspondence Register.
- Distribute files to action officers.
- Receive files returned to the registry from action officers.
- Retrieve records/files required by action officers.
- Return files to shelves/cabinets or other storage locations.
- Track file movements within and outside the institution.
Salary:
- According to government salary scale TGS C1.
General Requirements:
- All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years, except for those already employed in government.
