1. Artisan II (Civil) (Re-advertised) – 68 Posts

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Packing of the railway track as directed by the supervisor.
  • Clearing grass and bushes along the line.
  • Cleaning side drains and water outlets.
  • Repairing the track after accidents.
  • Loading and offloading permanent way materials.
  • Performing any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Form Four Certificate with Trade Test II/Level II, National Vocational Award II (NVA II) in Civil Technology, Basic Certificate in Civil Technology, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

2. Artisan II (Painting) – 5 Posts

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Packing of the railway track as directed by the supervisor.
  • Assisting in the preparation of painting materials.
  • Painting the coaches.
  • Repairing the track and coaches after accidents.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Form Four Certificate with Trade Test II/Level II, National Vocational Award II (NVA II) in Civil Technology (Painting), Basic Certificate in Rail Track Technology, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

3. Technician II (Signal & Telecommunication) – 10 Posts

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Planning, designing, constructing, and maintaining S&T equipment and systems.
  • Overseeing market utilization and expansion of the fibre optic cable along the railway network.
  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing SGR/MGR signals and telecommunication networks and equipment.
  • Participating in accident investigations alongside other departments.
  • Maintaining train control, electronic warrant systems, cargo/wagon tracking and management systems, yard radio, underground cables, and internal office communications.

4. Plant Operator II – 33 Posts

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operating winches and cranes as per approved procedures and policies.
  • Providing quality services on plant operations.
  • Performing gangway activities.
  • Operating mechanical equipment (winches, forklifts, terminal tractors, and cranes).
  • Loading, offloading, and delivering motor vehicles and other cargo into/from trains.
  • Driving and operating mechanical handling equipment within workshops, yard premises, and depot yards.
  • Performing any other relevant duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Form IV academic certificate with a Basic Driving Certificate from VETA, Bandari College, TIRTEC, or any recognized institution, and Class F or G Driving License.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Signalling, receiving, and dispatching trains.
  • Ensuring trains and traffic work at stations are conducted according to rules and regulations.
  • Providing safe and expeditious movement of trains, traffic, passenger, and freight sales.
  • Supervising the security of station installations and equipment.
  • Administering small and medium stations.
  • In-charge of designated sections of a marshalling yard.
  • Directing and participating in the marshalling and breaking up of train loads.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Diploma or NTA Level VI in Railway Transportation with train working skills.
