Western Cape Education Department (WCED) 2023 Admission for Learners Now Open;- When the school year started, many parents were in panic as their children had not yet been placed in school for the new academic year. The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) has opened its online enrolments in time for people to start applying for 2023.

The Western Cape Education Department has opened online enrolments from 14 March 2023, and the window period for these enrolments is 15 April 2023.
This applies to children who will be attending school in the Western Cape province in 2023.
Parents and guardians are urged not delay to in applying for the online enrolments.
In a social media post on the WCED official account, the Education Department said:
If your child is starting primary or high school in 2023, you should apply to at least three or more schools.

The WCED website has received over 8 000 applications before 8 am this morning, this has resulted in the system slowing down due to being overloaded.
