Gameplay
The game is a 3D arena fighter where players can take on the roles of various Naruto series characters. Even though there are only two players involved in each fight, up to two supports can intervene to deal damage. Limited-use items can also be combined with the D-pad to produce a variety of effects. Each character has a unique jutsu that enables them to play in a unique way. The character will be able to perform powerful special moves once the chakra bar is full.
The more potent ones will start a cutscene with inputs that, depending on who performs them first, will increase or decrease damage. The ninja dodges do use a bit of the chakra as well. Only the second and third games offer online play, with the third offering ranked modes and being significantly more feature-rich.
The Naruto story is told in various ways in each of the game’s story modes. Cutscenes in the game have options for English and Japanese dubbing. The town serves as a hub between chapters in the game.
The player can converse with locals, engage in quests, and complete side missions in this town. In addition to regular fights, the game also features minigames with a ninja theme and unique boss fights in elaborate setpieces.
