The price cap for petroleum products in this nation is announced by the Energy and Water Services Regulatory Authority (EWURA). These costs take effect on September 7, 2022, a Wednesday.
In comparison to June 2022, the price of oil has dropped on the global market in July 2022. As a result, domestic oil costs are now lower than they were in August 2022, with gasoline costing between 271 and 362 shillings per liter and kerosene costing 430 shillings per liter.
Prices for diesel fuel have increased for Dar es Salaam and Mtwara, respectively, for September 2022 compared to subsidized prices for August 2022, with the exception of Tanga, where the price is decreasing by 13 shillings/liter.
The government has provided a subsidy of one billion shillings 65 to lower fuel prices for the month of September 2022 in order to continue reducing the effects of diesel price increases in this country, where many economic activities rely on diesel, as well as to reduce the difference between the prices of petrol and diesel.
