Who is eligible to receive NSFAS funding?

If you are a South African citizen planning to study at a public university or TVET college and fall into one or more of the following categories, you are eligible for an NSFAS bursary:

All SASSA grantees

Applicants with a combined annual household income of less than R350 000

The combined household income of disabled people must not exceed R600,000 per year.

Students who began their studies prior to 2018 and have an annual household income of less than R122 000.
