WCED Online Application 2024/2023 | How to Apply Online;- Students must pre-enroll for annual programmes at the end the academic year. The enrollment form must be accompanied with proof of payment for the non-refundable registration fee.

For enrollment purposes, please bring a certified copy your id as well as the most recent school report or certificate. All courses are subjected to student numbers.

WCED Online Application Procedure

Please follow each step to submit your application.

  • The principal of the school in which the learner is applying for admission to a public school must be notified.
  • The parent/learner applies for admission to school by providing the required documents, including the most current school report and an application form.
  • Any parent or learner who is interested in admission to CEMIS will be provided with a copy of the CEMIS Learner Registration Form. The school will also assist them with completing the application if necessary.
  • On application for admission, there are no school fees or other fees.

  • At least three schools should be applied (including the closest one to you).
  • Please indicate your preference order on the system
  • Schools: Don’t block places
    • Confirm the school your child attends for 2023, 25, June 2023
  • Guardians have until 25 June 2023 to confirm or decline a place as follows:
    • Online; or
    • send an e-mail to the school to confirm.
      Upload the school’s data to the system. Verify that the upload has occurred after 25 June 2023
    • Get in touch with your local WCED district office
  • The following documents must be uploaded by parents:
    • Results of the learner, for learners who have been to school.
    • Birth certificate
      • Study permit for foreign learners; OR
      • A police affidavit or proof of application (study permit).
    • Card of Immunization (Road to Health Chart] [Primary Schools Only]
    • Lease agreement
    • For advice, contact the nearest district office

Admission receipt

  • All applicants who apply for school admission must provide receipts that are numbered sequentially.
  • These receipts could be copies or school receipts that were issued to parents or learners who applied for CEMIS forms.
  • A school will admit or deny a learner if they receive a request for admission.

Resetting your password or changing the wrong password?

  • An SMS will be sent to you with a unique pin (OTP).
  • Enter the OTP from the System to create a new password

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION

  • Parents MUST upload supporting documents to the system as part this online application.
  • Only after the learner is accepted, must certified copies of supporting documents be sent to the school.
  • Within seven days of confirmation by the parent, these certified hard copies must reach the school where the learner is attending .
  • Your application is incompleTE until all supporting documents are submitted to the school.

DOCUMENTATION

  • If the learner has attended school before, the last school report card / results.
  • Identification / Birth certificate or passport for the learner.

OR

  • The Department. Study permit issued by Dept.

OR

  • Alternately, if a permit for study is not available, you can submit proof of application to Department. A police affidavit or Department of Home Affairs may be sufficient.
  • The learner is eligible to receive an immunization card (Road to Health Chart).
  • Evidence of residence (Rates account/Lease agreement/Affidavit confirming residence).
  • If the parent/ward doesn’t have the necessary documents, they can contact their local district office. They will give advice to parents/wards, WCED Online Application.

Parents must accept the school places between 24 May 2023 and 25 June 2023.

  • It is important to determine the order in which applications should be prioritized.
  • If the learner is accepted by more than one (1) school, and you and the guardian/ward don’t make a final decision by 25 June 2023 and confirm the school of your choice, the first school in which the application was successful (as ranked by you) will be activated and all other unsuccessful applications will be removed to resolve any learners blocking schools.
  • Parents/ guardians/wards have only three days from the 25th June 2023 to accept a school place, if offered one.
  • If all applications have failed and the learner/s has not been accepted by any school they applied to, parents may contact the WCED to help them find a place.

WCED FEE

Application and registration fees, a deposit, pre-admission or re-admission testing fee or any other charges
Additional fees are FREE at the time you apply. Other fees and school fees may not be charged until the learner is informed in writing about his or her acceptance to the school. If your application for admission to study through WCED is incomplete, then you will need to reapply during the next period.

PLEASE NOTE

  • It is a good idea to print out and keep a copy for your records.
  • Before you submit your application, it is important to contact the school in advance to verify their admission policies and requirements.
  • Schools are not allowed to request additional information that is not in accordance with the South African Schools Act (Act 84), 1996.
  • If parents upload all required documents, schools will confirm the WCED admission process.
  • The submission of an online application to a school doesn’t guarantee a spot at the chosen school/s.
  • All communications will go to the Primary Parent whose details have been filled out.
