Phase II (Two) of the BEEI Programme will focus on the reduction of youth unemployment.
The department of basic education seeks to provide employment and training opportunities in the education sector to 287000.00 (Two hundred and eighty-seven thousand) unemployed young South Africans of which approximately 109200.00 (Hundred and Ninety-two Thousand) will be education assistants and about 95000.00 (Ninety-five thousand) will be general school assistant.
