The National Teacher Council (NTC), has published the results of last year’s licensure exam. According to the NTC results statistics, 8442 candidates failed in the 5th edition teacher licensure exam.
The results show that 19,013 of the 27,455 candidates took the exam, representing 69.3%, and 8,442 representing 30.7 percent failed.

According to the NTC, six candidates were impersonated and their entire results were cancelled. The seventh candidate brought unauthorised materials into the examination hall for the Numeracy paper.

How to check NTC licensure examination results online
Candidates can access the NTC online portal to view the results of the maiden Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination.
- Visit the NTC Online Portal: https://exams.ntc.gov.gh/
- Log in using your Personal Identification Number (PIN), and the Serial Number you used to register for the examination.
- To view your NTC exam results, click the Submit Button.
After confirming their results, candidates are encouraged to print out their provisional certificates. The statement added that candidates who took the October 2021 GTLE exam and passed should also print their provisional certificates online through the NTC portal.
Candidates can also get their results from the colleges where they took the exam.
Candidates who fail the exam will be required to retake the examination in the next batch. Candidates can retake only the courses they failed.
