Mzumbe University Joining Instruction; GENERAL MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR DEGREE PROGRAMMES
(a) Direct Entry Qualifications
(i) Must hold at least three (3) O-Level credit passes in relevant subjects according to a specific programme.
(ii) The applicant must have at least two principal level passes at A-Level; provided that the total number of points is at least 4.5 with EXCEPTION of Bachelor of Science with Education programme (MU025) offered in the Faculty of Science and Technology which requires at least 4.0 A-level points.
(iii) For purposes of calculating minimum cut-off points in (ii) above, the scale is as follows; A=5; B=4; C=3; D=2; E=1; S=0.5. For candidates who sat for their Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education
Examination in 2014 and 2015, the required scale is as follows; A=5; B+=4; B=3; C=2; D=1; E=0.5. Also
note that, for the candidates who sat for their Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination in 2014 and 2015, the Principal Pass starts with C.
