The Bongo Star Search (BSS) final of this year will take place on February 4 at Masaki’s The SuperDome in Dar es Salaam, with Sh20 million going to the first place finisher. According to Rita Poulsen of Benmark 360, there are eight finalists in the competition who will sing live music during the final, which will be broadcast live by Star Times at 7 p.m.

According to Poulsen, the second-place finisher would receive Sh3 million, while the third-place finisher will receive Sh1 million.
She reveals that the finalists are already making their final preparations on purpose in order to attack the stage for the final, which will feature well-known national performers.
Poulsen claims that the 13th Bongo Star Search season was unique in comparison to the others because it had contestants who had previously placed in the top 10.
“To make the event exciting, we have gathered the winners who made the top 10 of the last competition. We did this because our goal is to provide the audience with the finest entertainment possible for the money they are paying.
“We anticipate a season filled with lots of excitement and fierce competition among the competitors. We have competitors that placed second through tenth in 2018 and 2021 this time around,” she explains.

She went on to say that thanks to the over 60 million Tanzanian and non-Tanzanian viewers watching the show through the Swahili channel on Startimes, the BSS has been successful in winning over the hearts of more than 5,000 young people and involving them in the campaign to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS.

The judges, Rayvany, Shilole, Fid Q, Nandy, Barnaba, and Adam Mchomvu, have chosen the top eight candidates.
