AB InBev is seeking a skilled Operator Forklift to join their team in Dar es Salaam. As a key member of the warehouse team, the successful candidate will be responsible for loading, unloading, and stacking company products in a safe and productive manner.
This role requires the ability to operate and maintain a forklift truck, ensure a safe working environment, and work collaboratively with the team to achieve agreed key performance indicators (KPIs) and goals.
Key Outputs and Responsibilities:
Effective Fleet Management:
-
- Conduct pre-trip inspections prior to each shift using the forklift inspection checklist.
- Ensure the forklift is operated and maintained in optimal condition.
- Ensure fuel and fluids are at accepted operating levels.
Adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards:
-
- Comply with Department of Labour stacking exemptions and site housekeeping standards.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment as designated by site safety standards.
Effective Stock Quality Management:
-
- Maintain warehouse stock age standards by ensuring stock rotation principles are applied.
- Ensure quality control through checking packaging on the warehouse floor and prior to loading.
- Participate in the handover process before and after every shift.
- Perform accurate daily stock counts using a handheld device.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with the Inventory Manager, Controller, and Supervisor.
Efficient Loading and Unloading of Vehicles:

- Maintain clear and effective communication with the Logistic Coordinator/team members.
- Ensure all documentation is accurately and comprehensively completed.
- Ensure production continuity (where applicable).
- Load empties and raw materials onto production lines while ensuring optimal productivity.
- Remove and stack finished product from the line to the bin while ensuring optimal line productivity.
Key Skills and Competencies:

- Good abilities to read, write, and count.
- No back problems (physically fit and healthy) and good eyesight.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good verbal ability in English.
- Good eyesight in both eyes.
- Excellent numeracy skills.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Upper Secondary Education Certificate.
- Licensing: Valid forklift driver’s license.
- Certification: Must be certified as competent FLT Driver via a certified body.
