April Fools Patch an Experiment? What Are They?

April Fools Patch an Experiment?  It is possible that the April Fools Patch for Overwatch 2 is an experiment to test out new features and changes in the game. Game developers often use special events and patches to try out new ideas and get feedback from the players.
It is also possible that the April Fools Patch is just a fun way to celebrate the occasion and provide some entertainment for the fans of Overwatch. Regardless of the intention behind the patch, the players can enjoy the new features and changes in the game and have a great time playing it.
It will be interesting to see if any of the changes introduced in the patch will make their way into the main game and how the players will react to them.

Anyone else feel like some of these April Fool patch notes actually might work? Such as the Widowmaker critical acting as poison instead of an instadeath?

Also, they gave Mercy a ton of ammo, I feel like that was in response to the ribbing they’ve been getting over the plus five ammo patch from awhile back xD

lower her dmg on crit (removes 1 shot being up 100% of match)
give it back to targets effected by her venom mine/during ult uptime

fixed widow.

There are some that are obvious jokes, like Ana headshots, but this one 100% is a test because it’s just a flat nerf to Widow :joy: ain’t no way they nerf Widow as a joke. Or these devs are just too cold hearted.

Not saying it will ever make its way into the real game, but it’s one step on the journey of figuring out what works.
