JCE results
The Junior Certificate Examination (JCE) has been administered annually since 1967. The JCE is a high-stake and mandatory examination that certifies completion of lower secondary education. It is a requirement for students wishing to pursue upper secondary education (ISCED 3).
BEC is mandated under section 5 of the Botswana Examinations Council Act (Act No 11 of 2002) as amended by the Botswana Examinations Amendment Act, 2019 to manage, conduct examinations and assessments in general education and technical, vocational education and training and to award certificates in respect of the said examinations and assessments

Dr Thobega said Junior Certificate Examinations (JCE) and Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Examinations (BGCSE) results will be released end of January and mid February respectively as the council is planning to bring the release of the results to their normal timelines.
