REGISTRATION FOR ONLINE SERVICES On the homepage of the site, a user will be prompted to select the option to “register” or “login”. A new or first time user must select the “register” option, which will direct the user through a process of registration and require the user to provide a unique username and password.
Once the user has selected a username and password, the user will be required to provide certain information and personal details. Once the aforementioned details have been provided and the registration process has been completed successfully, the Virtual Post Office will confirm the username and password in an email to the user, which username and password will be required for login purposes whenever the user wishes to gain access to the site.

The South African Post Office is committed to ensuring that any personal information submitted on the site is treated with the utmost privacy and that it has reasonable safeguards in place to protect user’s personal information when such information is submitted, accessed, stored or handled on the site. The South African Post Office undertakes never to sell or make available users’ personal details to any third party unless we are compelled to do so by law. In particular, in the event of a fraudulent online payment, the South African Post Office, reserves the right to disclose relevant personal information for criminal investigation purposes or in line with any other legal obligation for disclosure of the personal information which may be required of it.
