EWURA – Online Services in Tanzania;- EWURA mission is “To regulate energy and water utilities in a transparent, effective and efficient manner that ensures their quality, availability and affordability”
functions of EWURA include among others, licensing, tariff review, monitoring performance, and standards with regards to quality, safety, health, and environment. EWURA is also responsible for promoting effective competition and economic efficiency, protecting the interests of consumers, and promoting the availability of regulated services to all consumers including low-income, rural and disadvantaged consumers in the regulated sectors
EWURA Online Services
There are online services available to stakeholders that facilitate a speedy service delivery by increasing services hours, transparency, and elimination of physical barriers between EWURA and its stakeholders. Currently, online services available are for Licence or Tariff application—through Licence and Order Information System (LOIS), Complaints Registration, submission of Water Tariff Performance Report—through Water Information System (MaJIs); and submission of Electricity Performance Reports—through Electricity Regulatory Information System (ERIS).
