The Tanzanian Mainland Premier League (Swahili: Ligi Kuu Tanzania Bara) is the top-level professional soccer league in Tanzania and is administered by the Tanzanian Soccer Federation. The league was formed in 1965 as the “National League”. Subsequently, its name was changed to “First Division Football League” and “Premier League” in 1997.

As of the 2018-19 season, the league is comprised of 20 teams that play a double round-robin. The first classified qualifies for the CAF Champions League.

Since the 2015-16 season, the Tanzania FA Cup winner has qualified for the CAF Confederations Cup. Earlier, the Premier League runner-up had qualified for the Confederations Cup. The last three classified in the league are relegated to the First Division League for the following season.
